The Tacklebox
Cabin Description:
The charm of a 1940’s fishing cabin, a new experience for us but not one we will soon forget. Lovingly restored and given new life with stunning antique fixtures, woodwork and a Japanese-style soaking tub. Tucked into a quiet bay, overlooking Lake Champlain the cabin is steps away from the water. Summer means taking advantage of the provided kayaks and canoe, winter means if the lake is frozen it’s time to drill a hole and put out some tip-ups! The splendor of the lake is easily enjoyed from inside too, especially on a blustery day when that tub is calling your name or the steam from the sauna is luring you in. The split living spaces make for a unique stay, with a detached bunkhouse that is so cute and cozy. The loft would be perfect for kids, it has major treehouse vibes. Watching day turn to night around the firepit will be the perfect way to unwind from your day of fun spent here.
While You're There:
If all the fun to be had at The Tacklebox isn’t enough, you’re a short drive from the Adirondacks for hiking and a plethora of other fun things to do. We took a drive up to Brandon for lunch at Cafe Provence and some antiquing at Across the Street.
