The scene is so romantic. Rolling green hills dotted with wild flowers hugged by the creek. The beautiful and historic stone house looks perfect framed by the landscape. In my imagination it makes an ideal setting for a novel ala Jane Austen. Of course this all sounds to good to be true but in fact it gets even better because when you stay here you also get to share your time with a working farm. Oodles of chickens, ducks, swans, alpaca, peacocks, donkeys and I barely scratched the surface! The sounds of the farm make the best backdrop when you’re out walking the land. Inside is a crispy and minimalist design which allows for the picture windows to be the star of practically every room, no matter the season the scene will be beautiful. The charm of the home, built in the 1830s, is felt throughout but updated with just the right amount of modern amenities. The kitchen is petite but mighty with everything you’ll need, including farm fresh eggs! Life is good on the farm.

While You're There:

You are within 20 minutes of Woodstock, Rhinebeck, Saugerties, Kingston and so many other incredible Upstate towns. The Catskills is a stones throw with so much hiking and exploring to do.
